Arthur J. Cobb

Art Cobb, an active curler for more than 40 years, has served local, national, and international curling organizations since 1955. He began his administrative service as Utica Curling Club president. Since then, he has been secretary, vice president, and president of the Grand National Curling Clubs, where he is an honorary life member. He served as secretary, treasurer, and vice president of the USCA before becoming its president in 1973-74.

A past president of the American Curling Foundation, he also was general chairman of the Silver Broom, Utica, in 1970 and captain of the Scottish Tour, 1972. A U.S. representative to the International Curling Federation, 1973 to 1986, he was ICF treasurer, 1983-88, and received the Elmer Freytag Award in 1986. Art is honored for his untiring administrative service and his devotion to the game.
