The highly anticipated USA Curling competition season is almost here! Before competing, participants must register to participate in their events of choice.

Due to the pause of much of last season’s competition because of the pandemic, USA Curling has outlined some helpful refresher information for you to keep in mind when registering and planning your competitive season.

covid protocols

To ensure the safety of every participant and volunteer over the course of the competition season, USA Curling will be implementing the same Covid protocols for every nationally sanctioned event. The protocols are as follows:

• Proof of Covid vaccination will be required for all participants and volunteers.

• A negative PCR test must be taken within 90 hours of arrival.

• Masks must cover the nose and mouth and be always worn by everyone within the facility, including in the field of play during competition.

• Teams should arrive to games already dressed to eliminate use of locker rooms.

• Leading up to and throughout the duration of the competition, all participants should be conscious of public interactions and potential risks for exposure.

 MEMBERSHIP

• In advance of registering for upcoming championships, consult the USA Curling Rules of Competition Handbook as it includes information pertinent to registration and participation compliance.

• As always (Page 15, section 2a), anyone who registers for a USA Curling Championship event must be a dues-paying individual member of a curling club, which is a member of USA Curling.

• A list of current USA Curling member clubs can be found here.

• Should you belong to a curling club that is not a member of USA Curling, membership dues can be paid to any club in the above list, as those clubs are in good-standing with the organization. By paying dues to a member club, you are not only ensuring registration eligibility, but also supporting the organization to host sanctioned championship events that continue to grow the sport of curling in the United States.
