[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, February 22, 2025]  Ten teams entered the Mixed Doubles Olympic Team Trials at Rock Creek Curling in Lafayette, CO, with Olympic dreams and now, just two remain, competing to represent the United States at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Championship and the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Cortina, Italy.

In the semi-final, Team Anderson/Stopera defeated Team Bear/Oldenburg. Anderson/Stopera entered the final end ahead 6-5 and holding last rock advantage, and scored one to win 7-5 . With that victory, they eliminated Bear/Oldenburg and earned a berth in the final, where they will face 2023 World Champions Team Thiesse/Dropkin.

The championship is a Best-of-Three contest, with Game One airing on CNBC at 9 PM ET on Saturday evening. Game Two will be on CNBC at 2 PM ET on Sunday afternoon and a third game, if necessary, will be on the network at 6 PM ET later that evening. Jason Knapp and Kevin Martin have the call for all the playoff matchups, and games will also stream on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, and the NBC Sports app.

“It has been a terrific week of high-level curling here in Colorado,” added USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “This world-class facility in Lafayette was the perfect setting for this event, and we’re excited to see one of these great teams perform on the world stage.”
