HOST SITES FOR 2025 CLUB NATIONALS, SENIOR NATIONALS ANNOUNCED
[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, May 8th, 2024] — USA Curling is pleased to announce the dates and locations for the 2025 Senior Women’s & Men’s Nationals and the 2025 Men’s & Women’s Club Nationals.
In 2025, the Senior Men’s and Women’s National Championships will return to a single location—the Traverse City Curling Club in Traverse City, MI. Following a very successful 2024 Mixed Doubles Nationals in Traverse City, USA Curling is thrilled to go back to northern Michigan.
“Traverse City was a great partner for the 2024 Mixed Doubles Nationals,” said Dean Gemmell, CEO of USA Curling. “We know they will put on a terrific show for the top curlers in the country over the age of 50.”
The Senior Nationals are an open-entry event so field size is not pre-determined. The registration will open soon and will close earlier than other championships to provide the necessary time to create the event schedule and allow teams to make travel plans.
In 2025, the Women’s & Men’s Club National Championships are headed to Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Curling Club. The facility, located in Cedarburg, WI, opened in 2012, but Milwaukee is recognized as, “… the oldest curling club in continual existence in the United States.”
Gemmell noted that, “We can’t think of a better place to honor and celebrate this national club-based competition than Milwaukee. After a successful 2024 championship in Fargo, along with the inaugural Everest North American Club Championships scheduled for this coming September, we look forward to making the 2025 event a great one for competitors, fans, and Milwaukee club members.”
The Club Nationals are a region-based championship featuring 12 teams per gender. Teams are divided into pools of six teams, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the playoffs. Each region receives one berth for a total of 10 teams per gender. One additional berth is awarded to the region with the greatest number of entries, and the host club also receives an entry.
In an ongoing effort to plan each championship season further in advance, USA Curling is planning events through 2028. The current championship schedule for 2024-25 is below, and a snapshot for events through 2027 is also provided. Clubs and venues that are interested in hosting future national championships or playdown events should email Events Director Aaron Kaylor at aaron.kaylor@usacurling.org for more information.
