[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, December 6, 2024]— To eliminate any possible confusion, USA Curling is restating, from the Qualification Procedures, how the final berth in the Mixed Doubles Trials/Nationals will be determined. The tenth and final berth in the field will be awarded to:

• Highest ranking team (1), not already qualified, as of January 14, 2025, on the World Curling Year-to-Date Mixed Doubles Team Rankings.

By January 14th, the World Curling Mixed Doubles Year-to-Date Team Rankings will reflect each team’s best five results this year. USA Curling realizes that published rankings do not always include all eligible results, so rankings will reviewed carefully to ensure accuracy. The organization is not using any other ranking system (ie. one created by USA Curling) to determine the final berth in the Mixed Doubles Trials/Nationals.

Using the Year-to-Date ranking rewards the U.S. Mixed Doubles team that is not already qualified and has the best overall results during this curling season.
