Tom Satrom

A USCA director for 14 years, Tom helped found the Cambridge Curling Club in Cambridge, Minn., in the 1970s. During his tenure with the USCA, Tom played a key role in the USCA’s successful application for membership in the U.S. Olympic Committee. In addition, Tom served as the USCA’s de facto, pro bono legal counsel: was president of the Minnesota Curling Association and the USCA (1990-91): and was the USCA’s representative to the USOC for seven years.

Tom’s leadership extended onto the ice as well, where he served as curling team leader at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, and at the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France.

As a competitor, Tom was the captain of the 1992 USCA Scots Team Tour that won the Herries Maxwell Trophy. Tom learned to curl at the Grand Forks (N.D.) Curling Club.
