2024 MEMBERS’ ASSEMBLY
USA Curling is excited to share the in person programming schedule for the 2024 Members’ Assembly. We will be hosting sessions on a number of topics including ice technician certifications, analytics certifications, coaching development, skills clinics and more!
Sessions will be available primarily for in-person attendance, though some limited virtual sessions will be available.
Programming will take place Friday August 9th through Sunday August 11th at the Chaska Curling Center, Chaska Community Center, and Four Seasons Curling Club.

Where: Chaska Event/Curling Center
3210 Chaska Blvd, Chaska, MN 55318Upon completing the Level 1 certification, Officials will be trained in the rules of curling and timing games in competition.
Prerequisites:
+ US Center for SafeSport Training
+ USA Curling Individual Membership (any level)
+ World Curling Academy Time Clock Operator (free)
+ World Curling Academy Rules of Curling (free)
+ World Curling Academy Rules of Competition (free) -

Members may register for both Level 1 and Level 2 Official courses in the same weekend.Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Official course, members will be certified to act as on-ice officials during curling competitions.

Chaska Curling Center (Afternoon session)
3210 Chaska Blvd, Chaska, MN 55318Course Conductor training for Level 2 Instructor courses will be available at the Members' Assembly. This is NOT the Level 2 Instructor Course (see below)
This training is intended for members with a current Level 2 Instructor certification and an interest in leading future Level 2 Instructor Courses. Upon successful completion of this training, Level 2 Instructor Course Conductors will be certified to teach Level 2 Instructor Courses at Member Clubs across the country.

This training will guide participants through detailed delivery correction, and advanced instructing skills.Prerequisites:

Chaska Curling Center (Afternoon/Evening session)
We will host the first USA Curling Coach Development Program. This all-day event will include classroom sessions, on-ice instruction, and hands-on coaching demonstrations at the Mixed Doubles Pre-Trials.After successful completion of the one-day program, coaches will be awarded a Level 2 Certification.

+ Coaching Level 1 Certification (coming early July!)

Where: Four Seasons Curling Club
9250 Lincoln St NE, Blaine, MN 55434A Club Ice Technician Assessment will be held during the Members' Assembly. This two-day event will cover basic ice maintenance techniques and skills. Instructors will work with participants to ensure best practices for hands-on skills. Successful participation in this assessment will result in a Club Ice Technician Certification.
Prerequisites:
+ USA Curling Individual Membership
+ Membership to a USA Curling Member Club
+ World Curling Academy Introduction of Maintaining Curling Ice
+ Basic First Aid Training
+ Current Center for SafeSport TrainingExperience with day-to-day ice maintenance procedures such as pebbling and scraping is recommended but not required.

The Level 1 Game Scoring training focuses on assessing the quality of a curling shot.Participants will learn how to produce Shooting Percentages utilizing standardized templates. Registrants will go through live testing and be graded on two ends of play. To complete certification, they must complete five games—on-site or remotely.

Where: Chaska Event/Curling Center & Virtual
3210 Chaska Blvd, Chaska, MN 55318Join our panel of sweeping experts to learn about and discuss the latest theories of modern sweeping techniques, including broom and body positions, carving/knifing, and line management.
The Sweeping Panel will be available for in-person and virtual attendees. Virtual attendees will receive a link leading up to the course. The session can be attended in-person at the Chaska Event Center.

When: Saturday August 10th, 45 minute session between 11:30 am and 3 pm
Where: Chaska Curling Center
3210 Chaska Blvd, Chaska, MN 55318National Team Coaches and Athletes will be available for small-group session of no more than 5 participants, Saturday August 10th. Sessions will be 45 minutes and will focus on topics such as Delivery, Sweeping, and Team Communication.
