RECAP OF 2022 MEMBERS’ ASSEMBLY VIRTUAL MEETING

On Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, USA Curling hosted its annual Members’ Assembly meeting via virtual call that was streamed to USA Curling’s YouTube channel.

The assembly was a welcomed opportunity to speak directly with membership, as over 80 delegates brought comments, questions, concerns, and dialogue to the table.

Equally important as connecting with membership were the agenda items addressed in the meeting.

In a two-thirds vote, the 2022 Members’ Assembly ratified the Board of Directors’ unanimous vote to remove the Grand National Curling Club (GNCC) as a member region due to its failure to uphold USA Curling bylaws regarding membership compliance.

All GNCC member clubs that are in good standing with USA Curling will continue to receive membership benefits and USA Curling will continue to be committed to assisting club leadership through pathways to membership as they navigate forward.

In addition to the ratification of the removal of GNCC as a member region, members agreed to begin Governance 4.0, a comprehensive revision to ensure USA Curling’s bylaws best serve the mission of the organization and its members.
