UPDATED: 2022 JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATION PROCEDURES

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of participants, volunteers, staff, and host communities, the second USA Curling Junior Bonspiel Series event, scheduled for Feb. 5-6 at the Coyotes Curling Club, has been canceled.
Initially, the four USA Curling Junior Bonspiel Series events were to serve as opportunities for junior curling teams across the country to experience high-level competition with each event qualifying one team for the 2022 U.S. Junior National Curling Championships.
Due to the cancellation of the first two Series events, USA Curling has updated the qualification procedures for the 2022 U.S. Junior National Curling Championships. To qualify for the 2022 Championships, Teams will need to ensure they meet eligibility requirements outlined in the qualification procedures document, and complete registration on or before April 1, 2022.
“In our efforts to continue prioritizing pipeline development, we’re hopeful that teams who were considering competing the USA Curling Junior Bonspiel Series sign up to compete in the 2022 U.S. Junior Curling National Championships,” said USA Curling Director of Development Dean Gemmell. “Amid uncertainty, we want to make sure every junior curling team in the country knows that they’re welcome to participate.”
While the first two Series events were canceled due to the current landscape of the virus, the third and fourth USA Curling Junior Bonspiel Series events are still on the schedule.
Junior Bonspiel Series
January 2-3, 2022 – Kettle Moraine Curling Club: Canceled
February 5-6, 2022 – Coyotes Curling Club: Canceled
February 18-20, 2022 – Broomstones Curling Club and The Country Club
March 19-20, 2022 – Eau Claire Curling Club
The winners of both remaining USA Curling Junior Bonspiel Series events will receive a waived entry fee into the 2022 U.S. Junior National Curling Championships.
The 2022 U.S. Junior National Curling Championships are currently scheduled for late April 2022 with exact dates and location TBA. The exact dates and location will be announced as soon as they have been finalized and prior to the close of registration on April 1, 2022.
