QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MEMBER CLUB PROCESS?

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, September 30, 2024] The 2024-25 USA Curling membership process is underway, and the organization is working to make it as seamless as possible for Individuals and Member Clubs.

The model introduced last year remains the same, with small adjustments to Individual tiers that include a new Silver level membership and a distinct Coach membership.

The process for Member Clubs is unchanged from the 2023-24 season but, in an effort to provide as much clarity as possible, USA Curling has created the Membership Renewal/Submission Guide—find it below and in Our House—to make it easier for club leadership to complete the membership process.

Key points include:

  • If the Member Club collects Individual USA Curling dues and submits a roster by November 30th, the club will receive an instant rebate of $5 for every Individual USA Curling member that is applied against their club dues.

  • If the Member Club does not collect Individual USA Curling dues, the $5 rebate is still offered for members for whom a USA Curling membership is found. Individual members should name a Primary Club if their club does not collect USA Curling dues for them to ensure clubs receive this rebate.

  • Member Clubs can collect all tiers of Individual Membership and submit that information with the roster, or collect one tier and allow club members to purchase upgrades (Competitor, Coach, Silver, or Gold) directly through MyUSACurling.com.

  • Member Clubs receive General Liability insurance coverage.

  • All Individual Memberships include Personal Accident insurance. This insurance covers Individual members for any curling-related activity, whether it is at their Primary club or somewhere else.

“Member Clubs are essential to our mission, and we work to earn their support every day,” noted USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “When clubs collect Individual dues and submit rosters early in the season, it makes the process easier for their members, ensures accurate vote counts for each Member Club, and helps the national organization maintain direct connections to the curling community.”

Fulfillment of direct member benefits will be improved in 2024-25. Following issues related to the mailing of bag tags and welcome letters for Individual members last season, USA Curling has implemented a new process and identified a new supplier to deliver these items in a more timely and consistent manner this year.

If questions remain after reviewing the Membership Renewal/Submission Guide, club leaders should email memberservices@usacurling.org.
