[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, March 10, 2025]  The World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025 gets underway tomorrow in Stevenston, Scotland, with two-person teams from around the globe competing in this new Paralympic discipline. The championship will run through March 16th.

Laura Dwyer and Steve Emt will represent the United States after winning the USA Curling Mixed Doubles Nationals earlier in the year at the Windy City Curling Club in Villa Park, IL. Dwyer and Emt were also part of the five-person that competed last week in the World Wheelchair Curling Championship, also in Stevenston.

This event offers teams a final opportunity to earn qualification points towards a berth at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milan-Cortina. Information about Paralympic Qualification, points allocation and current wheelchair mixed doubles standings can be found here.

This event is open entry. In addition to the United States, the field includes Brazil, Canada, China, Czechia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, and Türkiye.

More information about the championship, including live scores, results, streaming availability, and the full schedule can be found here.
