[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, February 14, 2025]  USA Curling is pleased to announce the field for the 2025 USA College Curling Championship, scheduled for March 6th through March 9th at the Midland Curling Club in Midland, MI.

A total of 16 teams, comprised of players of any gender, qualified by winning East, Midwest or Western College Regional Championships, or by earning points through results at competitive college events throughout the academic year.

There are newcomers in the field in 2025, as both the United States Naval Academy and Castleton University in Vermont earned berths for their schools for the first time.

Nancy Myers, Chair of the USA College Curling Committee, said, “It’s exciting to see more students curling each year, as new clubs emerge on campuses across the country. The level of competition continues to improve and many who start playing through USA College Curling become lifetime participants in the sport.”

In 2024, the University of Wisconsin-Madison topped Princeton University in the final to claim the championship. While Princeton failed to qualify in 2025, UW-Madison is returning to defend their title.

USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell added, “We’re grateful to the Midland Curling Club for hosting this exciting championship this season, and look forward to taking it to Schenectady in 2026. College curling continues to be an important pipeline as we work to grow participation in the sport.”

All competitors are full-time undergraduate or graduate students who must maintain academic standards while participating in college competitions. For more information, visit the USA College Curling website.
