[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, March 4, 2025]  The 2025 Senior Men’s & Women’s National Championships kick off today at the Traverse City Curling Center, with the first draw at 7 PM ET.

There are 15 Women’s teams and 20 Men’s teams competing for national titles and the right to represent the United States at the 2025 World Senior Curling Championships in Fredericton, NB, Canada, from April 26th to May 3rd.

The championship, open to curlers over 50 years of age, brings together teams from all parts of the country for a week of great competition. The field includes teams looking to defend their 2024 titles—Team Montgomery (Angela Montgomery, Susan Dukes, Stephanie Erstad, Anne Gravel) on the Women’s side, and Team Farbelow (Mike Farbelow, Rich Ruohonen, Bill Stopera, Darren Lehto) on the Men’s side.

Along with last year’s winners, there is no shortage of former champions vying for the title in 2025. Margie Smith, Norma O’Leary, Shelly Kosal, Tracy Lawless, Linda Christensen, Geoff Goodland, Ken Olson, Dan Wiza, Paul Pustovar, Jeff Wright, Russ Brown, Sean Silver, Bob LeClair, Fred Maxie, Jeff Baird, Tom Danielson—all have been part of winning teams at this event in the past.

“We’re thrilled to have 35 teams in Traverse City to compete for these important titles,” remarked USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “The Senior Nationals represent so much that is great about our sport—the competition is intense, but the event also provides an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.”

The competition will run from March 4th through March 10th, with round-robin play qualifying eight teams for the playoffs. Webstreaming will be on the Traverse City Curling Center YouTube channel, while live scores, schedules, and other event information can be found in the Championships area of the USA Curling website.
