Job Overview
USA Curling is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Team Coach for one of our women’s national curling teams. They are currently ranked in the Top 20. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for the sport, and the ability to inspire and develop young athletes. The primary goal is to elevate the team’s performance to consistently compete at the highest levels, including Grand Slams, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
This position will report to the National Team Director at USA Curling and work collaboratively with USA Curling support staff and the Sporting Director.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development: Create and implement advanced game strategies tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of the team;
Athlete Development: Mentor and develop young athletes, instilling confidence and a winning mindset;
Organizational Management: Plan and oversee training schedules, practice sessions, and team logistics;
Effective Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with National Team Director and support staff who work with these athletes on a day-to-day basis in the Twin Cities. Accurately identify areas for improvement to help assist support staff in making improvements for athletes:
Travel Commitment: Attend all Grand Slam of Curling events (if qualified), U.S. Nationals, World Championships (if qualified), 2026 Olympic Games (if qualified), and 60%+ of tour events;
Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of team and opponent performances to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Experience: Demonstrated success in coaching or playing on competitive curling teams, preferably at Grand Slams or World Championships;
Strategic Acumen: Exceptional understanding of curling strategies and the ability to adapt to evolving game situations;
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and build confidence in young female athletes;
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage schedules, logistics, and team operations effectively;
Travel Availability: Willingness to travel extensively, including regular trips to Minneapolis, MN, and international competitions with travel budget provided;
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Collaboration: Ability to work across the National Team program with other coaches as well as staff;
Passion: Deep enthusiasm for curling and a commitment to fostering a positive, supportive team environment.
