[EAGAN, MN, July 12, 2023]  — USA Curling is pleased to announce that the Eau Claire Curling Club in Eau Claire, WI, will host the 2024 USA Curling U21 Junior National Championships from March 25-30, 2024.

It won’t be the first time the nation’s best Junior Women’s and Junior Men’s teams will be crowned at the four-sheet Wisconsin facility. The storied club held a very successful Junior Nationals in January of 2020, and many of their innovations have been incorporated into championship procedures. Eau Claire is also the home of the Metropolis Junior Open, a U21 Nationals qualifier bonspiel scheduled for November 10-12, 2023.

“We’re thrilled to return the U21 Junior Men’s and Junior Women’s Nationals to Eau Claire, a club that has long been a great supporter of championship curling,” noted USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “Pre-COVID, Eau Claire ran one of the most successful Junior Nationals ever, and we look forward to a strong partnership effort that will make the 2024 event even better.”

Along with the selection of Eau Claire as the host for Junior Nationals, USA Curling is also revising the dates of the 2024 Men’s and Women’s Club Nationals to avoid a championship conflict. The Club Nationals will still be hosted by the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club in Fargo, ND, but the previously announced dates of March 26-30, 2024 are shifting to April 2-6, 2024.

With a site for the 2024 Junior Nationals secured, USA Curling continues to seek host clubs for 2025 and 2026, and for two 2024 national events—the Five-and-Under National Championship, and the Senior Men’s and Women’s National Championships.

“We are grateful to the clubs that will host championships in 2024, and to any that have given them fair consideration,” Gemmell added. “Securing sites for Seniors and Five-and-Under Nationals is a key priority right now. We are working to ensure that all our championships offer value to host clubs and provide rewarding experiences for competitors.”
