TEAM CHRISTENSEN NAMED U.S. REPRESENTATIVE AT 2022 WORLD WOMEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP
Due to the cancellation of the 2022 U.S. Women’s National Championship, selection of a women’s team to represent the United States at the 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship was required.
“While the National Championship couldn’t serve as a qualification event for the World Championship, we’re confident that using selection procedures consistent with previous year’s not only preserves integrity, but also selects a Team we are proud to have represent the organization on the world stage,” said USA Curling CEO Jeff Plush.
In 2021, the reigning national champion team represented the U.S. at the World Championship due the postponement of the 2021 U.S. Women’s National Championship.

Similarly, the 2021 U.S. Women’s National Champion, Team Christensen (Cory Christensen, Sarah Anderson, Vicky Persinger, and Taylor Anderson), will represent the United States at the 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship, scheduled March 19-27, 2022, in Prince George, British Columbia.
While the majority of Christensen’s squad found success on the world stage in junior women’s curling, each of the players have had experience on the women’s world stage with different teams. The 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship will mark the Team’s World Championship debut as a foursome.
“We are very excited and honored to represent the U.S. at the upcoming Women’s Worlds,” said skip Cory Christensen. “For me personally, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to skip at my first women’s worlds.”
To add to the Team’s accolades, two-time U.S. Junior National Champion, Sydney Mullaney, will be joining the roster as alternate.
“As a team, we feel we are ready to compete against the world’s best, look forward to giving it our all, and hope to bring home a medal,” added Christensen.
