

USA CURLING BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO REMOVE GNCC AS MEMBER REGION
Due to lack of membership compliance, the USA Curling’s Board of Directors voted unanimously to remove GNCC as a member region. Curling Clubs within the region will have options to maintain USA Curling membership.

SELECTION PROCEDURES: 2022 PAN CONTINENTAL CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS
USA Curling (in consultation with the Athletes’ Advisory Council), will qualify the highest-ranked U.S. men’s and women’s curling teams on the World Curling Federation’s World Team Rankings as of September 19th, 2022.

KATIE BAKER JOINS USA CURLING AS SPORTING DIRECTOR
With over two decades of experience in the Olympic and Paralympic Movement, Baker will oversee all aspects of USA Curling’s sporting department, ranging from grassroots to National Team.

5-AND-UNDER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFIER BONSPIEL REGISTRATION
USA Curling is now accepting applications for 5-and-Under qualifying bonspiels. These qualifiers will advance curling teams with five years of curling experience or less to the 2023 5-and-Under National Championship.

2022-23 USA CURLING NATIONAL TEAM ROSTER
58 athletes have been named to the 2022-23 National Team, forming men’s, women’s, mixed doubles, wheelchair, U25, and junior teams, as well as an entirely new developmental pool to extend the impact of National Team resources.

VOTING OPENS FOR USA CURLING ATHLETES’ ADVISORY COUNCIL
Eligible athletes can vote between now and July 15, 2022, for the USA Curling Athletes’ Advisory Council (AAC).

USA CURLING GRASSROOTS ACESSIBILITY SURVEY
In an effort to continue to grow the sport of curling and foster an inclusive community, USA Curling will add accessibility feature categorization to the “Find a Club” locator map.

Designed for athletes 12-20 years of age, the inaugural USA Curling Junior Camp, hosted at Four Seasons Curling Club on Aug. 1-4, 2022, is an all-intensive dive into what it takes to be a competitive curler.

In addition to committee work and sustainable programming, USA Curling launches Pride-themed merchandise, with all net-proceeds from June 2022 benefitting The Trevor Project.

On May 15-22, 2022, the top junior curling countries from across the globe are competing in the World Junior Curling Championships 2022 in Jönköping, Sweden. Curling fans can cheer on Team USA through livestreamed games on Recast and live scoring.
PLAYOFF FINISH FOR TEAM USA AT WORLD WHEELCHAIR MIXED DOUBLES CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
On April 30-May 5, 2022, Pam Wilson and Dave Samsa represented the United States at the inaugural World Wheelchair Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The duo finished within the top three of their pool, concluding the Championship with a playoff qualification.
