Classification Overview
Classification provides a structure for Paralympic competition. The International Paralympic Committee has adopted a universal classification code to facilitate the implementation of accurate, reliable, and credible sport-specific classification systems. The classification process determines who is eligible to compete in a Paralympic sport and it groups the eligible athletes in sport classes according to their activity limitation in a certain sport. The World Curling Federation (WCF) is the international federation for curling. WCF is responsible for creating and implementing the rules and regulations that govern the Paralympic curling classification system. Classification Database
The World Curling Federation wheelchair curling database includes all athletes whose classification information is on file with the IPC.

National/International Classification and Opportunities
All athletes who wish to compete in the Paralympic divisions at events must undergo an international classification evaluation to determine their sport class. Annual classification opportunities are at least at every World Wheelchair B Curling Championships and World Wheelchair Curling Championship. The dates will be announced on the World Curling Federation webpage (www.worldcurling.org). The WCF is preparing an online course for classifiers which will become part of the education process.
