Bernie Roth

A founding member and two-term president of the United States Women’s Curling Association, Bernie helped lay the groundwork for the future of women’s curling. She helped organize the first mixed bonspiel in the United States, overcoming great resistance from some men’s curling organizations. Bernie also was instrumental in the founding of the Milwaukee Kilties. A native of Mequon, Wis., Bernie curled until the age of 70.
