Team USA (Chris Plys and Vicky Persinger) completed the round robin of the Mixed Doubles Olympic Qualification Event with a 6-0 record.

After five games of round robin play, the duo of Persinger and Plys sat tied with Korea atop the standings of Pool B. Facing Korea in their final round robin matchup earlier this morning, the United States pulled off an impressive 9-3 victory to maintain their perfect record.

The win over Korea secured the United States’ top seed in Pool B, earning a bye into the final.

“We’re very excited,” said Chris Plys. “I’m fortunate enough to have an Olympic slot already with my men’s team, so it would mean a lot to punch Vicky’s ticket.”

Chris Plys and Vicky Persinger will play the winners of the semi-final game (Finland vs. TBD) for a berth to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games tomorrow at 12pm (ET).

“It doesn’t matter who we play tomorrow,” said Vicky Persinger. “We just need to keep playing well, just like in the past two games, that’s all we can ask for.”
