JUNIOR TEAMS ANNOUNCED
USA Curling is excited to announce the four teams that have been named to the Junior High Performance Program this upcoming season. The junior sector of the program will consist of two U21 women’s and two U21 men’s teams.
Junior Women’s Teams:
Delaney Strouse, Sydney Mullaney, Leah Yavarow, Rebecca Rodgers and Susan Dudt
Elizabeth Janiak, Anne O’Hara, Ariel Traxler, Sara Olson and Katherine Gourianova
Junior Men’s Teams:
Riley Fenson, Sam Strouse, Trevor Marquardt and Eli Clawson
Danny Casper, Ethan Sampson, Marius Kleinas and Coleman Thurston
With Strouse, Mullaney, Dudt, Rodgers and Yavarow returning to the program, the junior women’s field also welcomes the new faces of Janiak, O’Hara, Olson, Gourianova and Traxler. “It felt a little unreal at first,” Traxler said. “I’m really excited.”
The excitement to be a part of the junior program and make the most of the available resources also exists in the junior men’s field. “I’m extremely excited to be a part of this program again and to be playing with a bunch of really awesome people,” Marquardt said. “I’m prepared to work hard and give it my all during my last season of juniors!”
USA Curling is looking forward working with these junior athletes as they strive to reach the podium.
