Donald G. McKay
Don McKay of Ossining, N.Y., is recognized for his leadership in regional, national, and international curling. He has served as an officer of the St. Andrews Curling Club and the Grand National Curling Clubs and is an honorary life member of the Grand National and the Ontario Curling Ass’n. President of the USCA in 1977-78, Don was a director and member of the executive committee for many years. He received the Elmer Freytag Award in 1988 for his service to international curling. USCA representative to the International Curling Federation, he served as its legal consultant and as a vice president (1987-88) and treasurer (1988-89).
He is president of the American Curling Foundation & Museum. Through his efforts, the Grand National C.C., the USCA, and the ACF&M attained tax-deductible status. An active curler, Don has contributed generously of his time and talent to all phases of curling.
