Glen Harris is recognized worldwide for his contributions to curling as a player, a teacher, and a publisher. He began curling in 1919 as a member of the Superior Curling Club and skipped his first bonspiel in 1925. During one three-year span, a Harris team won 77 out of 84 bonspiel games in the United States and Canada.

In 1944, he started the North American Curling News, the first US curling publication. A former president of the superior curling club, he was instrumental in founding the Midwest Curling Assn. and helped organize the United States Men’s Curling Assn. where he served as a director. The Wisconsin State Curling Assn. honored Glenn Harris for his unselfish devotion to the sport and his constant endeavor to encourage the highest integrity and interest in curling.
