[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, March 26, 2025] — The oldest continuously operating curling club in the United States will host the national championship that celebrates both high-level competition and the club-based history of the sport.
Twelve men’s and twelve women’s teams will be in Cedarburg, WI, at the Milwaukee Curling Club from March 26th through March 30th, all vying to earn the title of 2025 Club Nationals Champion. In each gender, teams are divided into two pools of six teams, with the top three teams from each pool advancing to the playoffs. The first place teams in each pool will earn a bye to the semi-finals.
This is a regionally-based championship, and teams have qualified for the event through playdowns run by the Recognized Regional Associations of USA Curling. Each region receives one berth, with an additional berth awarded to the region with the greatest number of playdown entries. This year, an additional men’s berth was awarded to Dakota Territory, while the Mountain & Pacific Curling Association (MOPAC) received an additional women’s entry. The host club also receives one berth in both the Men’s and Women’s Club Nationals Championship.
To be eligible to compete in this event, all players on a team must belong to and play in a league at the same USA Curling Member Club.
USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell noted, “Member Clubs across the country foster the sense of community that is so critical to the success of our sport, while providing the competitive outlet that we all need. The opportunity to earn a national championship while wearing club colors is always exciting, and we know the Milwaukee Curling Club will deliver a great experience for all the teams vying for this title.”
